One of the main objectives for this event is to raise funds for "Marie Curie Cancer Care" and we will be sending out a sponsorship form with your pre-event start pack, last year (October 2010) this event raised £2,302 from participants personal sponsorship, entry fees and refreshments, it would be great if we could beat this amount for this years ride.

The Two Counties Challenge Ride (in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care) is held on the same circuit as the Phil Cooke Ride with the addition of a shorter distance of 16 km (10 miles) for family/recreational cyclists. To find out about more about the routes check out the "Route pages". All rides will enter the two counties of Warwickshire and Northamptonshire and include some testing hills which all riders completing their respective distance should be proud to conquer. The routes are well marked out and all finishers will receive a "Certificate of Achievement" for their chosen distance.
***For riders taking part in the 100km distance a good level of fitness is required.
As with the Phil Cooke Challenge Ride all the rides will start from Dunchurch Village Hall from 09:30hrs until 10:30hrs with a second alternative start for the 100km ride at Jack's Hill cafe approx. 1 mile north of Towcester on the A5, both routes irrespective of where you start will be the same for the 100km event and each startpoint/HQ will also be the halfway point/refreshment stop depending on your choice of start.
Last year (2010) we secured sponsorship from a number of corporate organisations and local businesses which meant we were able to give something back to all the riders i.e. T-shirt, free food samples, free raffle, etc. for their efforts in obtaining sponsorship for their personal challenge, we plan to do the same again for 2011.
To register for this event go to the "Event registration page" complete the details regarding your chosen event click "Submit" and then go to the "Pay Here" page, the registration fee for this event is £10.00 on-line, the number of participants for this event will be capped at 500 however if this figure is not exceeded we will take on the day registrations for £12.00.
To satisfy the main objective of the event a "Marie Curie Cancer Care" sponsorship form will be included in your pre-event pack together with the event sponsors products and we would appreciate it if you could do your best to help us beat last years contribution for this worthwhile charity.
