Feedback from Phil Cooke Challenge Ride 24 February 2013

Well done for another great event.Phil would be very proud to have his named linked to such a hard but worthy event.

 Cheers   Jon

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your email :) It was good to hear back about the event.

I wanted to write anyway - to let you know how much I enjoyed the ride last week. It was my first sportive, and it was harder than I expected it to be - oh, those hills! And it was so very bitter. That was the longest, hilliest, coldest ride I have ever done!

But I feel really pleased to have accomplished it and would definitely come back again, the staring point at the cafe in Towcester was perfect :)

Well done with raising such an massive amount for charity - that's truly awesome news.

Thank you for the drinks bottle & goodies at the end - what a lovely surprise - and thank you for all the time and work your team put in to organising the event - it was great to take part in it.

Kind regards,

Hello Martin,  Thanks for your very prompt update on the ride.  Glad to see the total sum raised is a new high. Will put your email on our A5 Rangers CC notice board. We entered about 11? members and the cold weather only put one off.  It was very cold I must admit, and I cycle all through the winter.  Couple of points; you may remember that I asked you if it was possible to show on the entry list who the rider was representing (what club basically) as this hopefully helps in our drive for new members and it also makes it easier for me to count our members. Lastly, all agreed in the club that the HI-5 water bottle etc was a very appropriate and much appreciated goody. All enjoyed the route and the day.

Regards, Craig Hamilton. Club Runs Sec. A5 Rangers CC.

Whilst it was very cold I was very glad I rode the sportive last Sunday. Will hopefully be able to ride the longer distance in September. Well done on raising the money and thank you to you and anyone else involved with organising the event.

Many thanks for the email, you did well raising nearly £5,000!  Yes I had a very good ride and the 50km course from Rugby was good.  I did the 60km a couple of years ago and it seemed much better.  It was very cold, but it didn't bother me too much once I got going.

 Regards, Malcolm

 Hi Martin,

Thank you to you and your team, as this was a excellent event. It was my first taster of a sportive, and I've got to say I enjoyed it so much.

My mother died of cancer last year, so doing this event meant a lot to me (if that makes any sense) so you can count me in for the one in September, plus the phil Cooke's of the future (plus many more, as the fitness improves?)

Keep up the excellent work!

Kind regards
